Rae Merlo
Rae Merlo joined IVPCARE in 2005 and is the Clinical Education Specialist for the Western part of the United States. She is a graduate of Sacramento City College in Sacramento, CA. Rae has been a practicing nurse since 1997 and has worked in the field of reproductive medicine since 2000. Rae is a former clinical nurse for the Northern California Fertility Medical Center, where she played an active role in patient education and new nurse training. Prior to working in the field of Reproductive Medicine, Rae worked as a charge nurse in a hemodialysis unit where she cared for patients with multiple disease processes. She is also an experienced NICU nurse who worked for several years in a community hospital with a large volume of high risk births. Rae is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and has attended numerous regional nursing society meetings. In her role at IVPCARE, Rae is very involved in providing clinical education services to our clinicians and patients. Rae presents accredited contact hour courses and in-services in the clinical setting and has written articles for IVPCARE’s Fertility Nurses First newsletter and Clinical Updates.
